United States announces that they are joining South Korea in war.
The United States has been contemplating and debating their participation in any kind of fight against North Korea for years, especially now with the events that have taken place over the last few weeks. There is no doubt that South Korea is in desperate need of help from the US and they will no doubt be receiving it shortly.

So why is it even a question if corporal punishment is ok?
Because that is all that will get through the heads of most kids.
If you talk back to your parent, and they give you time out, it’s not a big deal. If you get a hand across the back of your mouth, you’re gonna think twice before being disobediant, and that’s not limited to just talking back.
I’m a 90s kid, if I stepped out of line my mother would beat my ass, or my father would take a fucking belt to me, but you know what? I’m better for it because I learned not to sneak out, and I learned not to break shit that wasn’t mine, and I learned that they have what’s best for me at heart. If you spank your child, and then explain what they did wrong, the lesson will sink in.
But if you just talk to a child like an equal, if you give them time out or ground them, they’re not thinking ‘this is wrong’. They’re thinking ‘I can get away with things’.
Maybe sometimes this isn’t the case, and if it wasn’t in your childhood, great, but good parents know what they’re doing and how their kids will learn.
And this is just my opinion, but even suggesting to someone how they should raise their child is something I personally find wrong. When it comes to something this private, keep your politics away from mine.
